WAPMU RF Master's Course

The course will focus on the following:
– Understand appropriate applications and guidelines for Radiofrequency Ablation
– Introduction to using ultrasound for RF procedures
– Nimbus in cervical, lumbar, SIJ, and genicular
– Understand patient management process treatment protocols
– Discuss patient result optimization of Radiofrequency ablation through the maximization of a large volume lesion
Distance Learning Program
This 45 minute initial training is for interventional pain management physicians, orthopedic surgeons or neurosurgeons who are interested in incorporating Nimbus RF for pain into their clinical practice. This program consists of a didactic session on the basic science and rationale for Nimbus, value of large lesion in these treatment applications and a review of the clinical literature on Nimbus. This training session will be conducted by an experienced Nimbus physician user. The program will be focused on one or more targeted area, depending on attendee survey during sign up. Topics may include cervical, thoracic, lumbar, SIJ, knee and other large joint.

Applied Training Program
This program is for interventional pain medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons or neurosurgeons who have experience and familiarity with Nimbus and want to gain additional knowledge and hands on experience in advanced procedure applications.
The goals of the program are for the attendees to learn diagnostic and procedure techniques including anatomical targeting for advanced procedure applications including SIJ, post-lumbar surgery, cervical and knee applications. The sessions will include didactic, case observation or case review, and hands on practical lab. The faculty for this program will be an experienced Nimbus user.
